WatchReader Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2, 2026

Overview

WatchReader is an e-book reader for Wear OS with a companion phone app. Books you add on the phone are copied to the watch over the Bluetooth link between the two devices. There is no WatchReader server, account or sign-in.

Data collection

WatchReader does not collect, store or transmit any personal data to the developer or to third parties. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code.

What stays on your devices

Network access

The phone app uses the internet only when you paste a link to download a .txt or .epub file. That request goes directly to the address you entered. The watch app does not use the internet at all.

Read aloud

Reading aloud uses the text-to-speech engine installed on your watch (for example Google Speech Services). The text is handed to that engine on the device; WatchReader does not send it anywhere. The engine's own privacy policy applies to how it processes speech.
